MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To find and create new business development opportunities, then materialise such opportunities. To execute existing trading business

Both jobs shall be done under the supervision of the Department General Manager.

2. POSITION IN ORGANISATION

To report to the Department General Manager of the Pan-EU Mineral Resources Department and under the direction of the Unit General Manager of Mineral Resources and Energy Business Unit.

3. SCOPE OF JOB

  • Develop deal sources and customer bases
  • Responsibility for managing sales, marketing research and new business development in
  • EMEA CIS regions
  • Present and define marketing strategy, sales forecast and budget for marketing activities
  • Meet with customers, suppliers and other related external parties for existing business
  • execution and new business creation
  • Attend external conferences to gather industry/market information, and present at external
  • customer meetings and internal meetings including regional offices
  • Travel whenever required

5. QUALIFICATIONS

Good level of education: Degree in Economics, Management & Business Administration or similar.

6. SKILLS

  • Skills and knowledge required for physical commodity trade
  • LME derivative hedging operation
  • General awareness of marketing strategy and proven experience of developing successful
  • sales strategies
  • Be able to demonstrate sound management skills
  • Ability to negotiate with customers to secure business
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent customer skills, e.g. negotiating, entertaining customers
  • Cultural awareness of dealing with many different cultures, both mentally and physically

8. EXPERIENCE

  • Proven business development experience (sourcing, negotiating and managing client accounts) within mineral resources, metals or similar area.
  • General awareness of current world market situation for mineral resources is desirable
  • Good understanding of international commercial business is required
  • Experience of international travel for business, supported by business etiquette
  • Experience of attending meetings with clients and at the mills/suppliers premises to agree successful
  • production of orders and complete any follow up actions from such meetings
  • Experience of managing projects
  • Comfortable in dealing with senior management
