Sumitomo Corporation has a 40 year history of trading precious metals with interbank and customer entities. SC Europe plc is a key element of the global team conducting precious metal operations, covering all the non-Asian region. Especially, our department has significant market share in Europe arising from our presence here in London.

SC Europe plc quotes leases, swaps, spot, and options, and engages in physical metal business such as location swaps and shipping for clients. We also have extensive experiences in structured derivatives for the purpose of hedging and/or effective management of assets held by clients.

Additionally, we are a member of the LBMA (The London Bullion Market Association) and an Associate Member of the LPPM (The London Platinum and Palladium Market)

Collectively our department provides the platform for Sumitomo’s exposure to major exchange-traded commodity businesses outside of the Asia-Pacific time zone.



To provide the industrial sector with competitive commodity management services from our offices in London, leveraging off both liquidity in the markets, and our extensive dealing and domestic arrangements in Japan.
