This is possible thanks to the high skill and the wide network of relationships with the Italian Yarn Manufacturers, which can offer the most up-to-date fashion world information about yarn, granting to our customers of the Japanese fashion apparel system competitive and trendy materials for their plants located in the far east. Due to this reason, this business is now increasing in volume and is definitely expected to expand more in the next future. 2) As a business project, Sumitomo Corporation Italia S.p.A., Textile Division is also expanding the textile export business from Europe, by concentrating on the export of fabrics to be used in sewing plants in the far east, linked to Sumitomo Corporation Japan. This plan should grant the manufacturing of reasonably priced good quality and fashionable garments for the Japanese market. Garments and Accessories 3) Sumitomo Italia is now making a big effort in order to increase the export of ready-to-wear garments and accessories manufactured in Europe (a business that in the most recent years appeared quite sluggish). At the same time it is organising an import business of Asian products, mostly casual wear and sweater, on a middle/large scale, for men, ladies and children.The co-operation with Sumitex Hong Kong will guarantee a careful supervision and control of the quality standard of such products.  The global and vertical textile business throughout Europe, Asia and Japan are now well-established. Sumitomo Corporation Italia S.p.A. is working as the textile main office in Europe, its role mostly consisting in collecting updated information about the textile world's situation and events, in the research of the most suitable production plants for its business projects and in planning marketing operations in several countries. At the moment one of the main purposes of this textile office is to expand business volumes by concentrating on business relations with the most important clients and the most reliable suppliers, acting as bridge between the two parties.  Yarn for sweaters and knitwear, fabrics for clothing, fashion garments from Europe and from Asia, casual wear sweater and children wear, are the main items the office deals with. |
